I started Open Cybersecurity because Brazilian scale-ups were paying US-priced consultancies for US-shaped programs. The result: half-translated playbooks, three-week SLA on every Slack message, and audits that surprised everyone.
I'd worked across Big 4 advisory and in-house at a regulated fintech. The pattern was the same: smart engineers stuck in audit prep, founders apologizing to enterprise buyers, and a security program that always lagged the business by a quarter.
